For those who have had the opportunity to visit the Dalton area, this sign may be familiar. You may already be craving their pies, breads, and soft pretzels.

Pleasant View Bakery, located in the basement of the owner's home, is one of the more popular cottage industries in the Dalton, WI Amish area. The bakery, open year round on Friday and Saturday, usually has quite a bit of a line, no matter what time of day.

One of my favorite parts about this location is the employee parking lot, which happens to be the the image of the buggies you see at the top of Amish In Wisconsin.

I highly recommend you bring a cooler to transport your purchases. And please remember to pay with cash or a personal check.

When facing the front door of this house, the bakery entrance will be on the left side down the path. You can click the image above and you will see people waiting in line to get in. The path will curve to the right and there will either be a line of people waiting to enter, or you simply smell the cinnamon rolls, pecan pies, and soft pretzels. Just follow your nose. The line moves fast, so you only have to be a bit patient. The actual store where you purchase their goods is not very large so only 10 or so people can be inside at one time.
